Statement of Faith

1. The Holy Scriptures
I believe the Holy Bible, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God, preserved by His providence. It is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”
—2 Timothy 3:16

2. The One True God
I believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost—coequal, coeternal, and consubstantial.
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”
—Matthew 28:19

3. The Deity of Jesus Christ
I believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary death on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return in glory.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” —John 1:1
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…” —John 1:14

4. The Sinfulness of Man
I believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, and that man by nature is spiritually dead and separated from God.
—Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12

5. Salvation by Grace Through Faith
I believe that salvation is a free gift of God, offered by His grace and received by faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is not by works, but through the shed blood of Christ and His resurrection.
—Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9

6. The New Birth and the Holy Spirit
I believe that all who receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are born again of the Holy Spirit, indwelt by Him, and sealed unto the day of redemption.
—John 3:7; 1 Corinthians 6:19

7. The Church
I believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all born-again believers. Christ is the head, and the Church is called to worship, fellowship, disciple, and evangelize the world.
—1 Corinthians 12:27

8. The Blessed Hope: The Pre-Tribulation Rapture
I believe in the imminent, pre-tribulation rapture of the Church, when the Lord Jesus Christ will descend into the air to gather His Bride. At that moment, the dead in Christ shall rise first, and living believers shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. This rapture precedes the seven-year tribulation period and delivers the Church from the wrath to come.
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” —1 Thessalonians 4:16–17
“Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.” —Revelation 3:10

9. The Second Coming of Christ
I believe in the literal, bodily return of Jesus Christ to earth at the end of the tribulation, when He will return with His saints, destroy the Antichrist, bind Satan, and establish His millennial kingdom, judging the living and the dead and reigning in righteousness.
—Revelation 19:11–16; Revelation 20:1–6

10. The Resurrection and Eternal Destiny
I believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved to eternal life and the unsaved to everlasting punishment.
—Matthew 25:46; John 5:28–29

11. Christian Living
I believe that all believers are called to live in holiness and obedience to God’s Word, growing in grace and bearing fruit to His glory.
—1 Peter 1:15; Matthew 5:16
