\u201cFor there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.\u201d<\/em> \u2014 1 John 5:7 (KJV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mystery of the Godhead<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

1. The Oneness of God<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The foundation of all truth begins with the eternal proclamation: \u201cHear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.\u201d<\/em> \u2014 Deuteronomy 6:4<\/strong>.
There are not three gods, but one God in three Persons. The word \u201cone\u201d<\/em> (Hebrew echad<\/em>) speaks of a united oneness<\/strong> \u2014 a compound unity, as in \u201cthe two shall be one flesh.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

God\u2019s being is undivided<\/strong>, yet He has revealed Himself in three distinct persons \u2014 the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit \u2014 each coeternal, coequal, and consubstantial (sharing the same divine nature).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Scriptural Evidence of the Trinity<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  • At Creation<\/strong>, we hear God say, \u201cLet us make man in our image\u201d<\/em> (Genesis 1:26). The plural pronoun \u201cus\u201d reveals divine plurality within unity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

    3. The Trinity Revealed Through Redemption<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Though invisible and eternal, God revealed His triune nature through His plan of redemption:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • The Father<\/strong> purposed salvation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The Son<\/strong> accomplished salvation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The Holy Ghost<\/strong> applies salvation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      This threefold work unveils the unity of God\u2019s being and the harmony of His purpose \u2014 to reconcile man to Himself and restore His creation to glory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      God the Father \u2014 The Eternal Source and Sovereign<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      1. The Father\u2019s Identity<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      The Father is the eternal source<\/strong> of all that exists. He is not a separate deity but the first person of the Godhead<\/strong>, from whom all divine action originates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \u201cBut to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him.\u201d<\/em> \u2014 1 Corinthians 8:6<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

      2. The Father\u2019s Purpose<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      The Father\u2019s purpose is seen in His role as the architect of redemption<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • He decreed<\/strong> salvation before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4\u20135).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • He sent<\/strong> His Son to redeem mankind (John 3:16).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • He adopts<\/strong> believers into His family (Romans 8:15).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        His purpose is that all things be gathered together in Christ and that His glory be revealed in His redeemed creation (Ephesians 1:10\u201312).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        3. The Father\u2019s Power<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        The Father reigns in sovereign authority over all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n
        • He sits upon the eternal throne (Psalm 47:8).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • He rules over the nations (Daniel 4:35).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • He will one day subject all things under Christ, that \u201cGod may be all in all.\u201d<\/em> (1 Corinthians 15:28).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          The Father\u2019s love and sovereignty form the foundation of divine order \u2014 His will is perfect, His judgments are righteous, and His love is eternal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          God the Son \u2014 The Eternal Word and Redeemer<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          1. The Son\u2019s Eternal Nature<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

          Jesus Christ did not begin at Bethlehem. He is the eternal Word<\/strong> (Logos<\/em>), existing with the Father before creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n

          \u201cIn the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.\u201d<\/em> \u2014 John 1:1
          \u201cBefore Abraham was, I am.\u201d<\/em> \u2014 John 8:58<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

          He is coequal and coeternal with the Father and the Spirit \u2014 not a lesser deity, but the visible expression of the invisible God<\/strong> (Colossians 1:15).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          2. The Son\u2019s Purpose<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

          The Son\u2019s role is to reveal the Father<\/strong> and redeem mankind<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          • He came to do the Father\u2019s will (John 6:38).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • He gave His life as the ransom for sin (Mark 10:45).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • He rose again to bring eternal life to all who believe (John 11:25\u201326).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            Through Christ, the eternal Word became flesh (John 1:14), and the invisible God became knowable. The Son bridges the infinite gap between God and man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            3. The Son\u2019s Power<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

            The Son possesses all divine authority<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              \n
            • He forgives sins (Mark 2:10).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • He commands nature (Luke 8:25).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • He conquers death (Revelation 1:18).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • He is seated at the right hand of God, interceding for the saints (Romans 8:34).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

              When He returns, He will reign as King of kings and Lord of lords, executing divine judgment and establishing the everlasting kingdom (Revelation 19:11\u201316).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              God the Holy Ghost \u2014 The Eternal Spirit of Power and Presence<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

              1. The Holy Ghost\u2019s Identity<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

              The Holy Ghost (or Holy Spirit) is not an impersonal force but the third Person of the Godhead<\/strong> \u2014 fully divine, eternal, and personal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              \n

              \u201cNow the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.\u201d<\/em> \u2014 2 Corinthians 3:17
              \u201cThou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.\u201d<\/em> \u2014 Acts 5:4<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

              2. The Holy Ghost\u2019s Purpose<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

              The Spirit\u2019s role is to apply<\/strong> the work of redemption, empower<\/strong> the Church, and sanctify<\/strong> the believer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              • He regenerates<\/strong> the believer (John 3:5).<\/li>\n\n\n\n

                The Spirit\u2019s purpose is to glorify Christ (John 16:14) and conform believers into His image (2 Corinthians 3:18).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                3. The Holy Ghost\u2019s Power<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                The power of the Holy Ghost was demonstrated on the day of Pentecost, when He descended upon the disciples with fire and power (Acts 2:1\u20134).
                That same power continues today in every believer who walks in obedience. The Spirit distributes gifts (1 Corinthians 12:4\u201311), bears fruit (Galatians 5:22\u201323), and seals believers unto the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                He is the active presence of God<\/strong> on earth \u2014 the One who empowers revival, awakens conviction, and prepares the Bride of Christ for His return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                The Trinity in Divine Unity<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                1. Unity Without Confusion<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are not three modes or manifestations of one Person, but three distinct Persons<\/strong> united in essence and will.
                Each is fully God, yet there is one divine nature<\/strong>. This unity is perfect, eternal, and unbreakable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                2. Harmony of Function<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                  Before the creation of the world, the Father loved the Son (John 17:24). That love, shared within the Godhead, overflowed to mankind through redemption.
                  When a believer receives Christ, he is brought into that eternal fellowship through the indwelling Holy Ghost (Romans 5:5; John 14:23).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  In the end, all things return to divine unity:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  \u201cThen cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father… that God may be all in all.\u201d<\/em> \u2014 1 Corinthians 15:24\u201328<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

                  The Eternal Fellowship of the Triune God<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                  Throughout eternity, the redeemed will dwell in the presence of the Triune God \u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  • Worshiping the Father on His throne,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • Beholding the face of the Lamb,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • Filled forever with the Spirit of life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
                    \n

                    \u201cAnd there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it… and they shall see his face.\u201d<\/em> \u2014 Revelation 22:3\u20134<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

                    The eternal destiny of the saints is fellowship with the Triune God<\/strong> \u2014 to share in the divine love, light, and life that has existed from everlasting to everlasting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                    Conclusion<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                    The doctrine of the Trinity is the heart of all Christian revelation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                      \n
                    • The Father<\/strong> is the Source<\/strong> of all things.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                    • The Son<\/strong> is the Revealer and Redeemer<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                    • The Holy Ghost<\/strong> is the Power and Presence<\/strong> of God within us.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                      To know the Trinity is to know the fullness of God. The believer is called not merely to understand this mystery, but to walk in the fellowship<\/strong> of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost \u2014 living as a vessel of divine purpose and power in the earth until Christ returns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
