The Biblical Identity of All Humanity<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Scripture establishes that every human being originates from the creative hand of God. From the beginning, the Lord formed man in His own image (Genesis 1:26\u201327). This divine image does not belong to one race, one ethnicity, or one nation. It is the universal imprint of God\u2019s creative design placed upon every person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Paul declares that God \u201cmade of one blood all nations of men,\u201d he tears down any imagined superiority constructed by human pride. Racism contradicts this foundational truth. It invents divisions where God created unity. It elevates one group above another where God has declared all equal in worth. Therefore, racism is not merely a social issue\u2014it is a direct assault on God\u2019s design for humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Racism as a Manifestation of Sinful Pride<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

At the root of racism lies pride, the same pride that led Lucifer to rebel (Isaiah 14:12\u201315). Racism says, \u201cI am better than you because of my flesh,\u201d but God says, \u201cThe LORD looketh on the heart\u201d<\/em> (1 Samuel 16:7). Racism exalts the outward\u2014skin color, ancestry, physical differences\u2014while God weighs the inward\u2014the spiritual condition of the soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This sinful pride breeds hatred, contempt, and partiality, all of which Scripture condemns. James 2:9 (KJV) declares plainly:
\u201cBut if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin…\u201d<\/em>
Racism is \u201crespect of persons\u201d in its most destructive form. It divides, oppresses, and segregates those whom God created equal in dignity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God\u2019s Call to Love and Unity in Christ<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Jesus defined the second greatest commandment as \u201cThou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself\u201d<\/em> (Matthew 22:39). Racism breaks this commandment by denying love to someone on the basis of their race. It refuses compassion, refuses mercy, refuses fellowship\u2014all because of skin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Christ, racial divisions are destroyed. Paul writes in Galatians 3:28:
\u201cThere is neither Jew nor Greek… for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.\u201d<\/em>
This unity does not erase cultural identity; it sanctifies it. The church is made of every tribe, tongue, people, and nation (Revelation 7:9), not as competitors but as one redeemed family in the Lamb. Racism works directly against the work of Christ, making it a sin not only socially harmful but spiritually rebellious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Racism Opposes the Gospel<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The gospel is for \u201cwhosoever\u201d (John 3:16). Racism limits the \u201cwhosoever.\u201d
The gospel commands us to make disciples of \u201call nations\u201d (Matthew 28:19). Racism despises certain nations.
The gospel reconciles man to God and man to man (Ephesians 2:14\u201318). Racism builds walls where Christ tore them down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To harbor racial prejudice is to reject the reconciling mission of the cross. It is to stand against the very heart of God, who desires that His church reflect His kingdom\u2014a kingdom where diversity is not tolerated but celebrated as part of His glory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Consequences of Racist Sin<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

1. It corrupts the heart.<\/strong>
Hatred, bitterness, and unforgiveness eat away at the soul (1 John 2:9\u201311). Racism blinds a person spiritually, leading them to walk in darkness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. It destroys relationships.<\/strong>
Racism tears apart families, communities, and churches. \u201cEvery kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation\u201d (Matthew 12:25).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. It invites divine judgment.<\/strong>
God judges nations and individuals who exalt themselves over others (Proverbs 16:5). In Scripture, oppression\u2014racial or otherwise\u2014always brings God\u2019s wrath (Exodus 22:21\u201324).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. It hinders revival.<\/strong>
No church walking in prejudice can walk in the fullness of the Spirit. Unity is the atmosphere where the Holy Spirit moves (Acts 2:1). Racism suffocates that unity and quenches the Spirit\u2019s fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Christian Response to Racism<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To reject racism is not political\u2014it is biblical. To repent of racism is not social activism\u2014it is obedience. The church is called to be the light of the world, a city set on a hill, a witness of God\u2019s kingdom. This means:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Teaching the truth<\/strong> that all humanity bears God\u2019s image.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Rejecting prejudice<\/strong> in our hearts, homes, and congregations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Loving intentionally<\/strong> across racial lines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Standing for justice<\/strong> when others are mistreated or oppressed (Isaiah 1:17).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Preaching the gospel<\/strong> that unites every believer in Christ.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Where racism divides, Christ heals. Where racism hates, Christ redeems. Where racism builds walls, Christ builds a kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Conclusion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Racism is not simply a cultural wrong\u2014it is a sin against God, a violation of Scripture, and a rebellion against the unity established through Christ. God\u2019s Word calls His people to walk in love, truth, justice, and humility. Any ideology or attitude that exalts one race over another stands in direct contradiction to the heart of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The church must speak clearly:
    Racism is sin.
    Racism is darkness.
    Racism is contrary to the gospel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
