\u201cTrust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.\u201d<\/em> \u2014 Proverbs 3:5\u20136<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lord calls His people to place their complete trust in Him. Trust is more than words spoken during worship or prayer. True trust is a full surrender of the heart to God\u2019s wisdom, power, and will. The believer who trusts the Lord learns to depend upon Him in every season of life\u2014during peace, hardship, blessing, sorrow, victory, and testing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The world teaches men to trust themselves, their wealth, their feelings, and their own understanding. Yet Scripture teaches that safety, peace, guidance, and eternal hope are found only in the Lord. God rewards those who place their confidence in Him. These rewards are not empty promises. They are spiritual realities proven throughout the Word of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The saints of Scripture trusted God through impossible circumstances. Abraham trusted God for a promised son. Moses trusted God before Pharaoh. David trusted God against Goliath. Daniel trusted God in the lions\u2019 den. Above all, the Lord Jesus Christ trusted the Father completely, even unto death on the cross.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rewards of trusting the Lord are both present and eternal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Reward of Divine Direction<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

One of the greatest rewards of trusting God is His guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTrust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.\u201d \u2014 Proverbs 3:5\u20136<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Human understanding is limited and corrupted by sin. Men often choose paths that appear right but end in destruction. The believer who trusts the Lord receives divine direction. God orders the steps of those who seek Him sincerely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many believers become confused because they rely more upon emotions than Scripture. But God promises to direct the paths of those who trust Him completely. His direction may not always be immediate, but it is always perfect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lord guided Israel through the wilderness by a cloud by day and fire by night. Today He guides His people through His Word and through the Holy Spirit. Trust removes fear because the believer knows that God is leading every step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Reward of Peace<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Trusting God brings peace to the soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.\u201d \u2014 Isaiah 26:3<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The world searches endlessly for peace through money, entertainment, pleasure, and human relationships, yet true peace cannot be found apart from God. Peace is the reward of confidence in the Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When trials arise, fear attacks the mind. Anxiety grows when people focus upon circumstances instead of God\u2019s promises. But faith lifts the eyes upward. The trusting believer understands that God remains in control even when life appears uncertain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus said to His disciples:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPeace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.\u201d \u2014 John 14:27<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This peace does not mean the absence of trouble. It means the presence of God in the middle of trouble. Trust anchors the heart during storms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Reward of Strength<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Those who trust in the Lord receive renewed strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.\u201d \u2014 Isaiah 40:31<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The burdens of life can exhaust the human spirit. Trials, persecution, disappointments, and spiritual battles can weaken even faithful believers. Yet God gives supernatural strength to those who depend upon Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trust teaches believers to stop relying upon fleshly power. Human strength eventually fails, but God never fails. The Lord strengthens His people so they can continue walking faithfully even during difficult seasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Apostle Paul understood this truth when he declared:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFor when I am weak, then am I strong.\u201d \u2014 2 Corinthians 12:10<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God often allows weakness so believers will learn deeper trust in Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Reward of Protection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Lord promises protection to those who trust Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.\u201d \u2014 Proverbs 18:10<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This does not mean believers will never face danger or persecution. Many faithful servants of God suffered greatly. Yet the Lord remains their refuge and defender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

David repeatedly testified of God\u2019s protection throughout the Psalms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust.\u201d \u2014 Psalm 18:2<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The enemy seeks to destroy faith through fear. Satan desires believers to doubt God\u2019s goodness and promises. But trust becomes a shield against the attacks of the enemy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In these last days, fear is spreading across the world. Nations tremble, economies shake, and deception increases. Yet the people of God are commanded to trust the Lord instead of living in fear. The believer\u2019s safety is ultimately found in God\u2019s sovereign hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Reward of Provision<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

God provides for those who trust Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cO fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.\u201d \u2014 Psalm 34:9<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lord knows every need of His children. Jesus taught that the heavenly Father cares even for the birds of the air and the lilies of the field. How much more will He care for those who belong to Him?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trust destroys worry. Worry questions whether God will provide, but faith rests in His faithfulness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCasting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.\u201d \u2014 1 Peter 5:7<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God\u2019s provision may not always come in the way people expect, but He never abandons His children. Sometimes His provision is financial. Sometimes it is spiritual strength, wisdom, open doors, or encouragement during hardship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lord remains faithful to provide exactly what is needed according to His perfect will.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Reward of Salvation and Eternal Life<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The greatest reward of trusting the Lord is eternal salvation through Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.\u201d \u2014 Acts 16:31<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saving faith places complete trust in Christ alone for forgiveness and redemption. Salvation cannot be earned through human works, religion, or morality. It comes through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus died for sinners, was buried, and rose again the third day. Those who trust Him receive eternal life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFor whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.\u201d \u2014 Romans 10:13<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This promise is certain because God cannot lie. Every earthly reward will eventually fade, but eternal life in Christ will never end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trusting God in the Last Days<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Scripture warns that perilous times shall come in the last days. Deception, wickedness, fear, and spiritual darkness will increase. In such an hour, believers must remain steadfast in trusting the Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many will trust governments, technology, wealth, or false religion for security. Yet none of these things can save the soul or provide lasting peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The remnant church must stand firmly upon the Word of God. Those who trust Christ will endure faithfully until the end. God honors unwavering faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSome trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.\u201d \u2014 Psalm 20:7<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The church must not place confidence in worldly systems. Our confidence must remain in the Lord alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conclusion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Trusting the Lord brings divine direction, peace, strength, protection, provision, and eternal salvation. God has never failed those who place their confidence in Him. Though trials come and the world changes, the Lord remains faithful forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faith does not mean believers will never face suffering. It means they can walk through suffering with confidence that God is with them. Every promise of God is certain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lord calls His people to stop leaning upon human wisdom and to trust Him completely. Those who trust the Lord will discover that He is faithful in every season of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
