America’s Hour of Testing

Why Islamist Extremism Must Not Be Allowed Into the Halls of Power

2 Corinthians 6:14“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness?”

America stands at a prophetic crossroads. While our leaders debate economics, social issues, and foreign policy, a far more dangerous force is silently working its way through the political bloodstream of the nation: the rise of radical Islamist ideology.

This danger is not theoretical. It is rooted in an ideology that openly despises biblical truth, rejects Western liberty, and seeks to impose a worldview fundamentally incompatible with the God-given freedoms on which America was built.

For too long, America has closed its eyes to this threat, deceived by the belief that danger always arrives with guns, bombs, and overt violence. But Scripture warns us that the adversary often works not through force—but through infiltration.

2 Peter 2:1 warns of “false teachers… who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord.” The danger is not always outside the camp. It often walks through the gate.

While America watches extremist groups abroad, radical Islamist networks have shifted strategies here at home. Their aim is no longer simply to attack America from the outside. Their goal is to gain access to the inside—through elections, activism, and political organizing.

This is not speculation. This is strategy.

Throughout Europe, this method has already borne fruit. Islamist sympathizers have gained influence in local councils, national parliaments, and even ministries of government. Once inside, they advocate for soft treatment toward extremist organizations, policies that weaken national security, and the steady accommodation of Islamist cultural and political demands.

America is next—unless she wakes up.

Radical organizers understand three things very well:

  1. Local offices control local policing.
If extremist-friendly individuals influence city councils, district attorney offices, or mayorships, they can weaken law-enforcement tools that monitor radical networks.
  2. State offices influence schools.
School boards and state legislators shape education. Islamist-aligned activism seeks to normalize anti-biblical ideas, introduce historical revisionism about the Middle East, and silence dissent under the banner of “tolerance.”
  3. Federal offices control policy and intelligence.
If Islamist-sympathizing officials gain congressional seats or staff positions in federal departments, they can obstruct investigations into extremist groups, influence foreign policy toward hostile regimes, and undermine America’s alliance with Israel—something radical Islamist doctrine is determined to dismantle.

This is not simply politics. This is ideological warfare.

Many Christians wrongly believe that political disengagement equals spiritual purity. But Scripture paints the opposite picture. God’s people have always been called to discern the times, expose darkness, and restrain evil.

Ephesians 5:11 commands:
“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

America is not merely fighting political opponents but an ideology rooted in hostility to the Gospel, opposition to Israel, and the suppression of religious freedom. Radical Islamist movements have openly declared their intent to use democratic systems to achieve non-democratic ends.

To ignore this is not mercy—it is national suicide.

Elected officials—especially those who claim faith—must stop pretending that radical Islamist ideology is harmless “diversity.” America’s enemies do not hide their intentions. They publish them. They preach them. They teach them to their children.

When government officials, out of fear or political correctness, refuse to confront this ideology, they abandon their God-ordained responsibility to protect the nation they serve.

Romans 13 states clearly that civil authorities are ordained by God to be “a terror to evil.”
But how can they be a terror to evil when they refuse to identify it?

America is being tested. Not by the strength of her enemies but by the weakness of her discernment. Radical Islamist ideology will not need bullets if it can win ballots. It will not need to storm the Capitol if it can walk through the front doors with an election certificate.

The Church must awaken. Patriotic citizens must remain vigilant. And leaders must return to God, for only by the light of Scripture can a nation distinguish friend from foe, truth from deception, and liberty from bondage.

America will survive only if she guards her gates.
And she will guard her gates only if she returns to God.
