Idolatry is giving anything or anyone the place in your life that belongs to God alone. It’s not just about statues or images. An idol can be money, success, comfort, relationships, politics, or even yourself—anything you trust in, love, or obey more than the Lord. God makes this clear when He says, “You must not have any other god but me” (Exodus 20:3, NLT). When something else takes first place in our hearts, it becomes an idol. True worship means loving God above all and letting Him shape every part of our lives.
