If you unintentionally commit a sin, don’t panic and don’t hide from God. Go to Him honestly and confess it as soon as you become aware of it. Scripture tells us that God looks at the heart, and He knows the difference between willful rebellion and human weakness. When you confess your sin, He is faithful to forgive you and to cleanse you (1 John 1:9). Learn from it, turn away from it, and keep walking forward in obedience. God’s forgiveness is not fragile—He knew your weaknesses before you ever failed, and His grace is sufficient.
